You will find below a short list of various places of interest. Please contact us to expose your plan so that we can give you some advice and a quotation. If your dream place does not figure here, let us know and we can maybe organise something for you or at least give you some advice on how to plan your trip.
Western Ghats
The western ghats are an area that has alway attracted adventurers in India. Trekking in the jungle, specially during the monsoon period, is an experience you will not forget. We propose treks of 2 to 6 days in the following places:
- Ooty
- Madikeri
- Kalhatti
- Ooty
Badami
Small city of northern Karnataka, Badami has a lot to offer when it comes to culture and climbing. More than 150 routes on the beautiful red sandstone cliffs are just waiting for you to climb them. On a rest day, you can visit the famous cave temples. Additionally, you could also visit the archeological complexes of Aihole and Pattadakal during a day excursion. And if you don’t fancy climbing, you can still spend a day or two walking in the canyons from plateau to plateau, to finish with a stunning sunset from the cliff top.
Goa
Goa has the reputation to be over-frequented by foreign tourists. However, Outback India can show you the beauty of inner-land Goa. An interesting start would be to trek to the Dudhsagar (meaning litteraly Ocean of Milk) waterfalls. While most tourists will access the bottom of the waterfall by jeep or motorbike, you will trek through the forest to the top of Dudhsagar and enjoy the lonely pools.
Nilgiris
The Nilgiris are a range of mountains located in the southern part of the country. Spend a couple of days in the most famous hill station named Ooty (also known as Ooctamund in Tamil). But before that, we can take you to the top of the peak. A 2 to 4 days trek will let you enjoy the quietness and breath taking views of the Nilgiris. After the trek, make sure you visit a tea estate, spend some time wandering around Ooty and then take the steam train to Coimbatore to continue your trip to Kerala.
